Objective:

  • To provide civil engineering students with practical skills in 3D modeling and visualization using SketchUp, enabling them to create detailed architectural and civil models. The internship focuses on developing creative design capabilities for buildings, landscapes, and infrastructure projects.
  • To train civil and architectural students in 3D modeling and visualization using SketchUp, enabling them to design, present, and communicate structural concepts effectively.

Skill Sets :

  • Introduction to SketchUp Interface and Tools.
  • 2D Drafting and 3D Modeling of Structures.
  • Working with Groups, Components, and Layers.
  • Applying Materials and Textures.
  • Creating and Managing Scenes.
  • Importing CAD Files and Site Plans.
  • Basics of Layout for Documentation.
  • Rendering Integration .

Outcomes:

  • Ability to create detailed 3D models of civil structures.
  • Improved design visualization and client presentation skills.
  • Creation of a mini project or portfolio in SketchUp.
  • Understanding of model preparation for rendering or drafting.

Certification:

  • Interns will be certified upon successful submission of a completed 3D model and walkthrough presentation.
